Chemical Sunsets
And the bored sky yawns and i exhale my fear and know that is in this, in that, in today and tomorrow that exists, what is suppossed to be, so have no fear, of chemical sunsets and inbalanced borders and horizons that run the other way. Cause the sky even when collapsed into a fortune cookie, is old enough to be responsible, so I figure it's its problem and im not worried, Nature knows how to take care of itself. Flood when its dry, juicy and wet. Start a fire, when things are too barren, too the same everywhere you look. Whip up some wind, when people are all comfortable and secure in their concrete life vest, light the sky up you forgot about, rattle your bed bones.....Nature is HARD, like a steel tooth frame, biting at your face, HARD like rotten wires, still holding on to scars we never know we had. Like fish bones, rattlin' hooks and dares to swim across the sludge and bridge spans, greasy, back hands from under the cars and exhaust...... the grass is sharp and dangerous, cut from pirates and theives, it steals days and sets fire to baby blankets, when no one is looking, trees laughing like they forgot to hold up the sky today and mountains spread wide across bedroom floors, so dirty no one wants to pick them up.
nature crooked, bent, defiled
like a crumpled love poem.
